I love
the looks of this bike... "Number One"! I have the
windshield, the Ammo Box and Thompson SMG leather Scabbard, but I
prefer to ride the bike "clean " Now, believe it or not,
I have almost completed the restoration of a "Number Two" XA,
and I have a third XA 'basket case" (minus the front end) ready to go
It took me seven years to find all the missing parts and to finish the restoration. I rode the bike for the first time in 1994 at the 50th D-Day Jubilee in Normandy. It made quite a sensation as many people knew about the 1,000 XA's built but never actually saw one...
