This are my "JEEP" pages...

Here are four pictures of my Jeep in it's garage in Normandy... I have not digitized other pictures yet. These pictures are recent, and it tells you that I don't much use the jeep anymore, now that I have the two Military Harleys...

One neat trick: to comply with the modern rules of the road, I have modified the black-out cat's eyes in the grill and in the taillights, by removing the black-out cut-out shields, painting the inside of the shell white, and painting the rear bulbs amber. The re-wiring was simple and there is a tiny little toggle on the dashboard, barely visible, with a toy electric train six-volt tiny bulb as a flashing reminder. There is also a tiny license plate light tucked away under the Jerrican holder, almost invisible. It works and shines better that you'd think... and makes it street-legal. E-mail me for details if you want.

Now, for the trailer: I modified the bakelite plug so that now the ground is connected by means of a strip of copper on the "index" of the plug...Same thing in the receptacle, a copper strip connected to the tub (don't forget a toothed washer there). That leaves the 4 contact posts in the plug free for right turn, left turn, service light and stop light. The rear B-O lights on the trailer are modified like the jeep's. Same thing for the license plate holder.
