Mask

My face burning crimson
my mouth dry
racing heart
trembling
can he tell
electricity soars 
through my body
sparks
gasping for air
breathing quickens
tingling 
total desire
butterflies in my
stomach
dull ache in my
soul
can he tell
if I am touched 
I will explode
just thinking 
of him
sets me afire
don’t get close
the heat will burn
you 
the beating of my heart
will vibrate your body
the warmth of me
will shock your 
cool touch
don't look at me
I will melt
in your gaze
I must turn away
I am exposed
the truth 
of my desires
will show
just for a second
my guard came 
down
I must adjust
my mask 
and start anew
