A.J.: 9.5/10, Matt really outdid himself this time with his newest masterpiece: The Springwood Slasher. I don't even remember how many times I was reading a chapter and thought to myself, 'Damn, this is just like a movie'. The characters were so real, I felt like I knew each of them personally, and Freddy was on his A-game. Matt mixed in the classic Freddy one-liners with some fresh comical new ones, all while keeping the evil sinister part of Freddy strong. The only thing keeping this novel from getting a 10 or even higher was that it cut too close to some exact same scenes from the original Nightmare on Elm Street, but perhaps that was planned on purpose? Hmm...
