My family, like so many others these days, is barely making ends meet week-to-week. Now we are going to have to leave the house we've lived in for 10 years and we have no money and nobody to turn to for help. Months without work, family members with untreated medical concerns, four depleted savings accounts, and sharing unreliable transportation were once our main concerns. Now the landlord of the only home we've been able to afford tells us they are selling off all their properties and only keeping the one we are on to build their new house.
Now, on top of everything else - bills stacked up while the mail keeps delivering more, cars that can't pass the inspections looming before us next month, trying to find work in a place where they're only really looking to hire bi-lingual people and I can't afford to go back to college for anything else - but now we're supposed to find a way to afford higher rent( because we know we could never afford to buy anything), find enough money to cover first and last month's rent plus a security deposit, plus the expense of physically moving our belongings...I just don't know what to do or where to turn!
Is there anyone out there that can help us?
All the time I see reports on the frivilous things people have asked for donations for and I wonder how someone can beg people to pay for their boob job or their beer, or their new luxury car fund, and the many other petty little desires people feel they need when people like us are barely surviving. There are people like us that are one week's paycheck from being on the street - in our case we'll be there if we can't come up with the money to move.
Please help us by donating anything you can. If you can afford to help someone in some way, please help someone that you see really needs it.
