Labour Weekend Regatta
20 - 22 October 2007 10am briefing. 38 boats came from all over the lower North Island.
Rugby World Cup Final
We had a great cooked breakfast in the club rooms while we watched South Africa win the Webb Ellis Cup. Thanks to Todd and Gerard for their efforts in putting this on.
Paper Tigers Welcome
The weed made it not possible to sail Paper Tigers and hence racing did not take place. We will run another weekend latter in the season, and hope to include the Paper Tigers.
Weed Algae Report
This winter / early spring as been mild. The weed has started to grow, and is expected to be fairly high come the regatta. Competitors will have to check their rudders / center boards often.There is currently no Algae present, and the Lake is open and expected to be open right through till late December.
Regatta -Close racing
This years regatta was extremely close with many places not secured until the last race. The Laser Fleet saw 4 boats that could win the regatta going into the last race. Congratulations to the winners.
2008 Labour Day
Mark this weekend in your calendars. We will again be running our regatta over labour weekend. Watch this site for futher information.
First Time Winners
This regatta saw a couple of first time winners. Ezra won his first race in a laser at the club, Wayne won his first regatta. Well done guys.

Our major event of the year. We have boats coming from the lower North Island clubs to race on our home waters.

Classes expected:
Optimists, P' Class, Starling, Lasers, Paper Tigers, Hartley 16's, Open centre boarders, Open Trailer Sailors. Others Welcomed.

Thanks to a generous grant from the New Zealand Community Trust, City Marine, and the Horowhenua Sailing Club, we now have a new club rescue boat.

This Boat is was used for the first time at the Labour Weekend Regatta.
