About  Horowhenua's Facilities:
Rescue 1
The club rescue boat is a McLay 460, with a 40 horse power four stroke Yamaha out board. In addition to its main use as a rescue boat, this boat is used for coaching and as a committee boat. This motor is more economic to run than the 2 stroke and is much quieter, making it ideal for our yacht club.
Rescue 2
This was used as our committee boat until we launched our new boat. Rescue 2 is a smallar fiberglass boat, with a 15 horse power 2 stroke.
Club Rooms
We have an elevated club rooms with excellent views of the lake and the racing. The club rooms has a large balcony and is the ideal place to view, or relax after a days sailing.
Showers
The club has great showers, with an electric on demand water heater in the ladies, and a gas on demand system in the gents. We never run out of warm water.
Rescue 3
We have a small tinny which is used to coach out of, also the community police have access to this boat in an emergency on the lake.
