I learned that Dakota was coming on May 27th 2001.Due to the fact that Makena was just turning 5 months old
I was stunned about this but I was at the same time happy.I went to my first O.B. appointment on the 1st of
June.It made me happy to see the heart beat of an unborn baby again.I felt good knowing another life was
growing in me.
Things were hard I was always tired and it was rough taking care of Makena being so tired I managed just the same.
As the months past I went to get my last sonagram ant that is when things got stressful I learned that I had a
condition called "Placenta Previa" and that it was complete which means that the placenta was completely covering
cervix.I also learned that I was having a boy "that was someone aboves work THANKS".
I was told to take it easy and try to stay off my feet.So I quit my job and stayed at home. It is impossible
to take it easy with an 8 month old baby around.Things went really good until I had my first bleed in OCTOBER
I had to spend 1 night in the hospitial "that was the scariest thing I have ever had happen to me I was very
worried about what would I do if this happen in my sleep and what would happen to Makena if I became unconscious
from bleeding and about this little baby in me was he ok"That never happen again until November I then had a
serious bleed. I had to go to a Hospitial that had a NICU"Neonatal intensive care unit"in case I did not stop
bleeding they would have to take him early I was there 1 week and no problems so I got to come home things went
great I tried to take it easy and did pretty much so.The only other thing was I had gestational diabetes
I called the Doctor about that because it felt like my sugar was dropping on me at night so he said just eat
a small meal before bed and call to schedule your C-section for the 2nd of Janurary So the day after Makena's
1st birthday I had just finished putting up his bed and was getting ready to get a shower when it happen again
It was the early morning hours of NEW YEARS EVE!! We made it to the hospitial and we learned that I was going to go a head and have him that day I was very
happy to be getting it over with and worried at the same time.
