Professionally, I am a Marine Engineer. I recieved my degree in 1997 from the US Merchant Marine Academy. I now work for a Defense Contractor in Crystal City, Virginia, doing engineering work in support of Naval Sea Systems Command.
I started this site because I needed an outlet. I am a news and political junkie. I watch C-SPAN, I listen to AM radio, and I read several different newspapers everyday. They more I watched, heard and read; the more incensed I became. I no longer wear shoes when I watch TV for fear of throwing one through the screen. I frequently found myself yelling at the Radio and throwing newspapers away in disgust. There was so much unsaid, so many questions not asked. I decided that if no one else was going to, I will say what needs to be said and ask what needs to be asked.
I do not pretend to be a skilled writer. Sometimes what I write comes out well, and sometimes it doesn't. I only hope that my point comes across clear.
I do not intend to offend anyone. Knowing myself and my opinions, I probably will anyway. If you are easily offended by someone offering an opinion of an issue, unless I mention you specifically, than you are too thin skinned.
