Drips Down

My face:

Weeping

In joy.

What I know now

is what I knew then

Time passing

body aging,

spirit fading,

friends dying,

wolves getting,

Closer.  They smile

at me and I smile

Back.

Moist earth sweats

as it lays to rest

two best friends driving

Now two less

of total fifteen

thirteen heads grieving

Sometimes I,

I think of the past.

Head aches from crying.

Sometimes I,

I wonder how we,

Ended terribly.

Wasteful dreams,

Shaded with promise,

highlighted by youth.

Brash was the cashier

who left two razors

in my busy head.
