In remembrance of those lost and those left behind,

that ominous day skies opened and bombs struck our door.

Shattered pieces, tangled metal, debris came raining down,

cloaked terrorist among us, trespassing across the floor.

Heroes oblivious to danger conquered the unthinkable,

brought a city out of ashes in fearless determination.

Providing a passageway a newly brightly lite bridge,

surmounting bravery left only to love and admiration.

We will carry the names now carved in stone,

unable to dismiss their dreams, things they wished to be.

A secret place where Our Lady Of The Shore cast her tears,

at the threshold of the beautiful American Angelica tree.

Two years and 9-11 and our hearts will go on,

never forgetting bravery, courage honored in gilded gold.

Embracing every moment now, leaving nothing to chance,

generations crossing time history's legacy continues to unfold.
