THE KEEPER

Storms folded, entrance now lies open,

the night follows the day in shadowed silhouettes.

Releasing its hold on symphony's musical chords,

fiery stars dancing between gentle notes of minuets.

And 'The Keeper' she stands watching,

as they flow forth from her graceful fingertips.

Rising with every harmony floating through air,

posing long enough to place a kiss upon her lips.

For when you alone are in my arms,

lovers touching so close they breathe within.

Strings playing, mellowing every space of being,

all things simply gave barren o'er the violin.

Not a single measure do they break,

while traveling through written rhythmic time.

Seeking love that will balance these scales of hearts,

sweet melody continues soft sounds of a wind chime.

Searching between the sheets of music,

fears you have carried, dreams you have made.

Your story one reads on paper carefully composed.

tear drops fallen cast by the wayside unswayed.
